School of Education & Human Services
Studies in the major integrate Education courses, early field experiences, and a two part internship in schools with understanding of the intellectual process and achievement of proficiency in applied techniques. Art Education majors not only have a deep knowledge of the visual arts, but are well prepared to teach it to others.
Courses in the Arts involve history and theoretical approaches, along with hands-on, studio and performing experiences to deepen and enrich understanding of the discipline. Faculty are active professionals in their field who bring experiences from the real world to the classroom.
