The Mount Teacher Institute is an opportunity for teachers to engage in a day of professional development, skill building and enrichment. This annual event has been successful in providing educational sessions as well as MSDE and PA ACT 48 credits for local teachers.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own "device" - laptop, iPad

Linda G. Gambrell, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of Education at Clemson University, South Carolina will be the Keynote Speaker at the 4th Annual Mount Teacher Institute. She is the co-editor of Quality Reading Instruction in the Age of Common Core Standards.

Linda B. Gambrell is Distinguished Professor of Education in the Eugene T. Moore School of Education at Clemson University where she teaches graduate and undergraduate literacy courses. From 1999-2006 she was the Director of the School of Education at Clemson University. Prior to coming to Clemson University, she was Associate Dean for Research in the College of Education at the University of Maryland - College Park. Her major research areas are literacy motivation, reading coprehension, and the role of discussion in teaching and learning
