The Mount Teacher Institute is an opportunity for teachers to engage in a day of professional development, skill building and enrichment. This annual event has been successful in providing educational sessions as well as MSDE and PA ACT 48 credits for local teachers. Participants are encouraged to bring their own "device"—laptop, iPad

Keynote Speaker

MTI Speaker 2015Jeff C. Marhsall, Ph.D., Clemson University, Associate Professor, will be the keynote speaker for the 5th annual Mount Teacher Institute.

Dr. Marshall believes that we must succeed with all our students - the alternatives are totally unacceptable. His work focuses on increasing student achievement by improving instructional effectiveness particularly related to increasing the quantity and quality of inquiry-based instruction. His success as a teacher and leader have been recognized and praised by the White House. He is the recipient of Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
