Message from President Thomas H. Powell We are saddened to report that first-year student Catherine “Catie” Carnes, 18, of Monkton, Maryland, collapsed while playing volleyball yesterday. She was transported to Gettysburg Hospital where she passed away.
We offer our prayers and condolences for Catherine, her family, her roommates and friends. I realize this sad news will continue to affect our Mount community. As the entire Mount community deals with this loss, I ask that we come together in prayer and in support of each other.
