The Faculty, Staff and Administration – Work Together for a ‘Mount Moment’
A record 92 percent of the faculty, administration and staff gave to the Mount this year, solidifying fiscal year 2009 as the most successful year to date for the Employee Giving Campaign.
Over $100,000 was raised from 358 employees. “The Mount faculty, staff and administration continue to make us proud to be Mounties,” says President Thomas Powell. “Once again we see a great eagerness to help and the generosity of our Mount family shines through.”
The Annual Fund Office certainly shares President Powell’s sentiment.
“We are thrilled with the high amount of participation,” says Marianne Dempsey, director of annual giving. “The initial research we gathered shows the Mount has a much higher employee giving percentage than any of our peer institutions. We definitely have something special here. The great response to this campaign shows how we all feel about the Mount- we love it!”
Mount family members like Denise Ditch, director of recreational services and operations and a 2009 employee giving representative, made the campaign a success. Denise says, “It’s easy to give back to the Mount. Here, you feel as though you are part of a good thing and giving is an outward expression that we believe in the Mount’s product.”
Special recognition needs to go out to the fiscal year 2009 Employee Giving Representatives for their outstanding support and dedication: Denise Ditch, James Stevenson, Marvin Swisher, Tim Wolfe and Helen Wuethrich.
The Employee Giving Campaign is directed by the Annual Giving Office, but gifts to all designations count in the totals. All gifts that were given between July 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009 were counted in the fiscal year 2009.
