The Mount mourns the passing of Andrew “Wally” Wall, Class of 2009
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Andrew Wall, ’09. After graduation, Andrew was working on an organic farm when he was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor after collapsing at the farm.
While at the Mount, Andrew, an Annapolis, MD native, excelled at his studies. He studied abroad and was a vital member of the Mount Rugby Club. He was also a member of the George Henry Miles Honor Society.
Roberta McFadden, Mount professor and the English major’s advisor, says “Andrew was always interested in getting as much out of his college experience as possible…I remember his willingness to work through opposing critical approaches to specific text, arguing first one way and then the other until he arrived at the most persuasive explication – a solid beginning scholar."
