The Bicentennial has been a moment of celebration, reflection and renewal-a time of hope to give strength, wisdom and vision to the university for its next century of academic leadership and public service in American higher education.

The bicentennial served as a transforming celebration in which various constituencies of the university community honored two centuries of Catholic education. The sense of history so integral to the celebration helped to foster an increased understanding and appreciation of the importance of our Catholic mission.
