Checkout Expectations All students, including graduating seniors, must completely empty their rooms of their belongings before checking out. See Checkout Options page for more information on proper checkout procedures. Any items left will be discarded, and residents will be charged (click here to view FAQs for more details). Dumpsters will be placed in the vicinity of the residence halls for trash disposal. Preparation of your Room/Suite/Apartment All rooms must be cleaned, swept, wiped down and mopped. This includes floors, desks, dressers, closets, cabinets, microfridges, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, etc. Residence life staff will have cleaning supplies for students to use. The furniture in all rooms must be reassembled, if necessary, and rearranged back to the original August setup.

Express Checkout Regular Checkout Final Apartment/Suite Checkout Damage Responsibility Form The Damage Responsibility Form is available online by downloading it below or from your RA. The purpose of the form is to take responsibility for any damage in the room to avoid extra fines (see F.A.Q. Section).
Students will be charged $100 in addition to the actual cost of damage if they do not fill out the Damage Responsibility Form. In addition, any damages not listed on the Damage Responsibility Form that are found during check out will result in the $100 “damage/destruction/defacement” charge in addition to any costs associated with repairing the damage.
