Resident students should speak with their Resident Assistant (RA) if they would like to submit a maintenance request for their room, suite, or apartment. Any after-hours urgent work orders should immediately be shared with an RA or MSMU Public Safety at 301-447-5357 to contact on-call staff from the Physical Plant to assist with your maintenance concerns.
How long does it take to complete my work order?
Most routine Work Orders handled by Physical Plant staff take less than a week. Other Work Orders may take longer to fix for a number of reasons. For example, parts may need to be ordered or the problem needs to be referred to the Physical Plant or outside contractors. Work Orders may take longer to fix at the beginning and end of semesters due to the high volume of requests.
After-hours urgent requests go to Public Safety.
