Maintenance Requests
Resident students should call extension4858 with any maintenance concerns in their rooms to file a work order.
The Physical Plant is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
After hours, students are asked to leave a brief message about the maintenance concerns, and are encouraged to give a full description of the problem and location of the issue. Depending on the severity and complexity of the issue, the staff will decide who needs to take care of the work order. Please make sure you tell your roommate that you have called. All staff entering your room should be able to show university identification. For your security please request to see this before allowing anyone you do not know into your room.
How long does it take to complete my work order?
Most routine Work Orders handled by Physical Plant staff take less than a week. Other Work Orders may take longer to fix for a number of reasons. For example, parts may need to be ordered or the problem needs to be referred to the Physical Plant or outside contractors. Work Orders may take longer to fix at the beginning and end of semesters due to the high volume of requests.
After-hours urgent requests go to Public Safety.
