Spring 2010 Checkout Information
IMPORTANT: Read all information by clicking on the left hand panel link (Checkout Expectations, Checkout Options, FAQ, Seniors and Commencement Assistants).
Be proactive! Take responsibility for your room/apartment damage - Click here to fill out a Damage Responsibility Form with your roommates and turn it into your RA.(PDF)
Students must check out of their residence hall within 24 hours of their last final exam and by no later than Friday, May, 14, 2010 at 2PM.

Important Dates for Students:
Friday, May 7: Last day of Spring semester classes/24-hour quiet hours begin at 8pm
Monday, May 12 - Friday, May 14: Final Exams
Friday, May 14: Residence halls close at 2PM
Saturday, May 15: Baccalaureate
Sunday, May 16: Commencement
Sunday, May 16: Seniors and Commencement Assistants move out by 6PM
Planning for move-out now can help to avoid problems and charges!
Clean your room/apartment/suite before you leave.
Check out on time.
Remove all trash, debris and all belongings from your room/apartment/suite by the check out deadline.
(24 hours after your last exam and by no later than 2PM, Friday, May 14)Put your residence hall keys in your checkout envelope before you leave campus.

What can we be doing now to prepare for checkout?
Purchase cleaning supplies, moving boxes, packing totes, trash bags, etc.
Take personal items you no longer need home now – don’t wait until May.
Know your exam schedule so you can plan to clean and pack ahead of time.
Don’t leave your cleaning and packing until the last minute.
Bring your hand-truck or dolly from home. It will ease and speed up your move-out process.
If you live in a suite or apartment, don’t forget about the bathroom, kitchen, and common room when you’re cleaning.
For out-of-state students, contact storage facilities early to arrange for storage of your belongings over the summer.
