Checkout Expectations for Graduates and Commencement Assistants

ALL GRADUATES, COMMENCEMENT ASSISTANTS, ATHLETES AND SUMMER STAYOVERS MUST COMPLETE THE CLOSING INTERIM HOUSING REQUEST FORM TO BE APPROVED TO STAY PAST 2PM ON MAY 11, 2012.IF THIS FORM ISN'T COMPLETED BY THE MAY 1ST DEADLINE, YOU WILL NOT BE APPROVED TO STAY ON CAMPUS PAST MAY 11TH AT 2PM.

Important – Moving out on Sunday, May 13, 2012
All graduating seniors and commencement assistants must be completely moved out of their rooms/apartments by 6PM Sunday, May 13, 2012.

Preparation of your Room/Suite/Apartment
All graduating seniors and commencement assistants must completely empty their rooms of their belongings.  Any items left will be discarded (see FAQs section for more details).  The furniture in all rooms must be reassembled, if necessary, and rearranged back to original August setup.

Damage Responsibility Form
The Damage Responsibility Form is available from your RA, online, and has been sent as an attachment.  The purpose of the form is to take responsibility for any damage in the room(See FAQ Section).  Any damages not listed on the Damage Responsibility Form that are found during checkout will be divided up among the residents of the room/suite/apartment. The cost associated with repairing the damage(s) will be divided up and charged to each resident. Please make sure you and your roommates fill this form out.

Important - Graduation Schedule, April 29-May 13 

Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 1PM:
 Honors Convocation
12:45pm - Please line up in the upper lobby in Knott Auditorium wearing caps and gowns.
(Seniors who will be acknowledged will receive separate letters, but all students are invited to attend.)

Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 5PM:

Baccalaureate Procession - Be there at 4:30pm.
4:45pm - Procession begins

Baccalaureate Liturgy
5:00pm - Knott Arena - The Celebration of the Mass for all graduates and their families (For Catholics, this Mass fulfills Sunday obligation.)

Graduation Dinner and Senior Slide Show - Patriot Hall
6:30pm-8:30pm
Buffet Dinner, Music, Dancing
(Reservation Required)
Dinner served until 8:30pm - Slide Show begins at 8:30pm
Cash Bar available
Tickets Available at Conferences Office on the 2nd Floor of McGowan or by phone at ext. 5330

Family Social on Campus
9:00pm-11:00pm

Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 11AM:

Commencement Procession
10:30am - Assemble in Aerobics Room, Knott ARCC.  If inclement weather, assemble in the Field House.
10:45am - Procession begins (wear cap, gown, honor cord(s), honor medal(s), and carry hood)

Commencement Exercises
11:00am - Knott Arena
Overflow Webcast - Knott Auditorium - Main Campus (Admission Tickets Required for All Guests at All Locations)

Reception
12:30pm Outside Knott Arena immediately following Commencement Exercises (weather permitting)

Check out - You have until 6:00pm to check out of the residence halls and apartments.
