Housing Selection

Welcome to the Housing Selection hompage! We welcome all current Mount students to participate in this exciting process of selecting their roommates and housing for next year.

If you would like to live in campus housing for the 2012-2013 academic year, you must participate in either the Housing Selection process (described below) or the Housing Placement process (click here for more information). If you do not participate in either process, you may placed on the Housing Waiting List and campus housing may not be available.

Step 1: Complete Housing Selection application to participate in the selection process. (Deadline January 25, 2012)
Step 2: Opt into one housing selection process you would like to participate in. *Choose one person to be group leader!
Step 3: Group leader forms group by deadline of specific process opt-in period.
Step 4: Group leader selects room for next year during selection date/time.

Student Account must be up to date with payment arrangements made with Accounting Office by January 15, 2012.
   *Spring 2012 semester - Accounting Hold must be lifted and your student account must be up to date by January 25th to participate in housing selection.

• Senior Success Housing Selection: Keelty 3rd Tower 5-person apartments
• Bicentennial Suites Housing Selection: 2-person suite, 3-person suite and 4-person suite (Opt-in Period 2/16-2/20)
• Apartments Housing Selection  - Horning and Rooney Towers  with part of Keelty Towers (Rising juniors & seniors only):
  5-person apartments (Opt-in Period 2/24-3/4)
• McCaffrey Suites Housing Selection: 8-person suites (Opt-in Period 3/16-3/20)
• Sheridan 4th Floor Housing Selection (Female rising sophomores only): 6-person rooms (Opt-in Period: 3/16-3/20)

SPECIALTY HOUSING SELECTION PROCESSES (Click here for a full description of these specialty housing options!)

• Honors Housing Selection(Must be in honor's program as of 12/10/2011): Bicentennial 2nd Floor  equipped with 2-person suite, 3-person suite and 4-person suites (Opt-in Period 2/1-2/5)
• Women in Science  (WIS) Housing Selection (female science major students in the WIS program only): Bicentennial 2nd Floor equipped with a 3-person suite and two 4-person suites (Opt-in Period 2/1-2/5)
• Leadership Residential Community Housing Selection: Bicentennial 3rd Floor small wing equipped with a 3-person suite and two 4-person suites (Opt-in Period 2/3-2/7) *Groups must complete the Leadership Community Proposal by the deadline in order to be considered - Click here to download the form! (Due 1/25/2012)
• Faith Development Housing Selection: DuBois two 5-person suites, Additional paper application must be completed and accepted - Click here to download it!
• Summit Living Housing Selection: Annex Suites 4-person suites and a 5-person suite, DuBois two 5-person suites and Summit Living House at 16425 Old Emmitsburg Rd
  

***Please note that there are limited lofting kits available for all residence halls and requests cannot be made until after August move-in.***

If you opt into the housing selection process for the Apartments, Bicentennial, Summit Living House, Annex or suites in the Terrace, the group leader must be prepared to choose the bedrooms everyone will live in on your selection date and time.

If you DO NOT get into your first choice in the first housing selection process your group enters, you will have time to regroup to opt into another housing selection process still available. You will have the option to regroup and enter another process during the opt-in periods on the Housing Selection Timeline website and noted above.

If you have to regroup into a 2-person group, you have two options:

1. If you’re in a 4-person group, you can split up into 2 pairs.
2. If you’re a 3-person or 5-person group, you can split up and/or pair with other individuals from other groups.

Once you’ve figured out your new group, your group leaders will need to log into the Residence System
at msmary-res.symplicity.com and opt into another housing selection process. Then, your new group leader must form your new group. This must be completed before the end of the opt-in period.

ONCE YOU SUBMIT YOUR HOUSING SELECTION APPLICATION, NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE.
ONCE YOU CONFIRM YOUR GROUP BY THE DEADLINES, NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE.
ROOMS SELECTED ON YOUR SELECTION DAY ARE FINAL AND NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE.
