Residence Options Traditional Rooms are doubles, with some triples and quads. Men and women are on separate floors. Student Resident Assistants (RAs) on each floor organize pizza nights, shopping trips, cultural nights and academic discussions. Approximately 1,000 of our residents live in traditional housing.
Lifestyles of Fellowship, Opportunity and Temperance (LOFT) Approximately 150 students choose floors designated as LOFT housing to create a community committed to healthy living. Resident assistants organize outdoor activities, community service projects and alcohol-free social alternatives. Residents from all four years appreciate the quiet environment and tend to be additionally involved in campus activities. Women in Science The Women in Science floor is open to females of any year who are majoring, or have a strong interest in, science and technology fields. Residents organize science and service activities and mentor each other in a climate that nourishes their ambitions. Approximately 25 women live in this option. The Honors Living-Learning Community offers the opportunity for members of the Honors program to continue their collaborative learning experiences in a relaxed residential setting. Students are able to pursue a range of academic and social activities with like-minded colleagues. At the same time, they will develop strong friendships through common goals, classes, conversation, and fun. This housing option is located directly above the Honors Commons, a lounge dedicated to the interests of our Honors students. Approximately 50 students live in this option.
