Office of the Dean of Students

Welcome students to the 2011-2012 academic year!

I am excited to welcome our students back to another exciting and historic year at Mount St. Mary’s University.  Last year we celebrated the completion of the Terrace renovation project and this year we celebrate our largest incoming class in Mount history!

Our staff has been busy all summer preparing for this academic year.  Campus Activities is excited to offer another full year of entertaining programing; Outdoor Adventures is ready to take you outside on our own campus and around the world; The Center for Student Diversity welcomes a new Assistant Director and a great line-up of programs; and the Residence Life staff is ready to assist our on-campus students as they settle into their mountain home.

You will notice updates around campus both physically and programmatically.   The SGA Executive Board office has relocated to the first floor of McGowan Hall.  There is new digital signage by the mailboxes in McGowan.  We are also proud to announce that the Community Service Office is now the Office of Social Justice.  Director Jeff Abel and the CORE team hope you will join them on many of their important projects throughout the year.

Please take time to review all of the offices listed to the left of this website. Please remember that it is the responsibility of all students to read and abide by all policies listed in the Code of Conduct and Community Standards.

You are always welcome to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. As the Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life – it is my personal responsibility to ensure you are happy and successful here at the Mount.  Please be sure to stop by if we have not had the chance to meet. My office is located within the Office of Residence Life on the second floor of the McGowan Center. Best of luck with the start of the semester!

Sincerely,
Michael Taberski
