"Life Belongs To The Energetic... Experience Life!!!"
Backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, caving and white water rafting hold the key to your enjoyment week after week. These primary activities are the basis for our Weekend Trips, or "Excursions" - quick getaways within a few hours of campus that are offered just about every weekend throughout the school year.
No experience is necessary for these action-packed adventures. Just find a trip that meets your interests and schedule (Weekend Trips) and then sign up in The Underground. From there, experienced CRUX leaders will guide you safely through new experiences that you will never forget.
Make plans for an “Big Expedition”—spend four days to a week during break periods and the summer for true wilderness immersion opportunities. Whether you like warm or cold, are a student or faculty member, a freshman or a Mount grad, CRUX has an “Expedition” for you. Caving Update Due to the spread of White Nose Syndrome (fatal to bats but harmless to humans), a moratorium on caving is in effect for all caves on public lands east of the Mississippi River. As an organization as serious about environmental ethics as we are about outdoor fun, CRUX has suspended caving activities until the moratorium is lifted. Don’t worry – we’ll be filling up these weekend slots with other incredible outdoor experiences! |
