The FITNESS PROGRAM at Mount Saint Mary's offers many ways to get in shape, whether you’re a novice or an athlete. Our weight room features free weights and machines to give you a total body workout, while the cardio room houses a variety of equipment to burn off those extra calories and pounds. WEIGHT ROOM ORIENTATIONS The weight room is a great place to build muscle strength, increase muscle definition, and boost your metabolism. “How do I do this?” you ask. Set up an appointment for a weight room orientation!! During this time, I will set up a program for you to follow and demonstrate proper lifting form, technique, and use of equipment. CARDIO ROOM ORIENTATIONS Your heart is a muscle that needs to be strengthened as well. The cardio room is a great area to do just that. If you are not sure how to operate the machines or are uncomfortable starting a training program on your own, set up an appointment for a cardio room orientation. I can start you on a program and teach you the guidelines for safe cardiovascular training.
