Fitness Programs
The FITNESS PROGRAM at Mount St. Mary’s University offers a variety of opportunities to help individuals get healthy and fit. Whatever the interests or abilities may be, there is something to suit everyone’s needs!
Group Fitness Classes
Throughout the academic year, we offer a variety classes designed to get you toned and fit, while having fun in a social setting. Examples of classes include Zumba, resistance training, kickboxing, step, and yoga. Fees apply to all classes, but are discounted for Mount Students. Check the class schedule for days/times.
PNC Fitness Center
The PNC Fitness Center is open to all students, faculty, staff, administrators and members. This 4800 square feet bi-level facility is home to 21 cardio pieces (Octane and Matrix); free weights; two dual power cages; Hoist selectorized machines; fixed barbells; two functional trainers; and a designated stretching area that includes bosu balls, stability balls, stretching mats and spri tubing. Introductory orientations are available by appointment. All fitness levels welcome.
Wellness Screening
Wellness Screenings are available by appointment to help determine baseline fitness levels and track fitness progress
Screenings include body weight tracking, body fat analysis, girth measurements, and blood pressure screenings.
Special Programming
Throughout the year, the Fitness Program offers special classes to kick-start personal fitness programs and to take existing programs to the next level. Programs such as the Winter Weight Loss Meltdown are offered to teach goal setting, introduce new exercise routines & options, and improve you body image & self esteem.
