EMPOWERMENT - A Women’s Only Wilderness Experience

Trip Description

In a supportive community of peers, gender stereotypes will be shed and a genuine exploration of self, others, and one's role within the world will begin.  A remote and rugged New England fall sets the stage as students discover the parallels between their challenging wilderness environment and their daily demands.  On this trip, challenge will become synonymous with opportunity and opportunity seized will become synonymous with growth.  The women who enter the wilderness on one side will walk out empowered with a deeper understanding of self, a stronger sense of confidence, and a clearer definition of their feminine identity.  Thanks in partnership to the Career Center, participants will follow up their experience with a series of workshops and coaching which will aid them in pursuing a lasting path of fulfillment.

• LOCATION:  Maine
• COST: $300 (additional trip funding available if necessary)
• SPACES AVAILABLE: 8 participants total
• DATES: October 10^th -18^th (entire fall break)
• REGISTRATION: total amount of $300 due at sign up by Sept 25^th
