CAVING February 12th Limit: 8 people Cost: $15 | Come on the first caving trip of the semester with CRUX! Explore dark halls and gorgeous rock formations underground while you learn about fun cave facts and features. You'll have tons of fun crawling through unexplored depths beneath the surface, but beware - prepare to get muddy! |
SNOWSHOEING February 19th Limit: 8 people Cost: $15 | Shake off those winter blues by getting outside and learning how to enjoy the cold weather. CRUX leaders will take you out to try your hand at the winter activity of snowshoeing. You’ll be sure to have a snow covered wonderland all to yourselves for exploring. After experiences like this one, warm drinks like coffee taste a little bit better and hot chocolate just a little bit sweeter! |
CAVING February 26th Limit: 8 people Cost: $15 | Ready to head into the dark? Then come caving this weekend with CRUX! Jump into a cavesuit and helmet and head underground through fun twists and turns through the earth! Just be sure to wear old clothes and shoes, it's gonna get messy! |
HIKING March 19th Limit: 8 people Cost: $5 | Hit the trail… apologize… and then start hiking! The Mid-Atlantic is home to some of the best trail networks in the country and within a stone’s throw of the Mount are hundreds of miles of rugged terrain just waiting to be discovered. So leave the concrete sidewalks behind as CRUX leaders guide you along this spring day hike as you take in the brisk air and wilderness solitude along the way to breathtaking vistas. |
CAMPING AND CLIMBING April 2nd - April 3rd Limit: 8 people Cost: $20 | Join CRUX for an unforgettable weekend at play climbing and camping! Long the pride of East Coast climbers, CRUX leaders will lead you on an epic weekend of all around outdoor fun this Spring season. Whether you have done it before or are new to climbing, there will be a challenge for everyone. Up is never easy! But the reward from a hard day at the rock crag will make it all worthwhile as you change from feeling challenged to having conquered, as you settle down for the day and enjoy the outdoors and the night sky. So say adios to your fear of heights! |
ROCK CLIMBING April 9th Limit: 8 people Cost: $15 | Think rock climbing is all about power and strength? Think again! Let our CRUX leaders take you to a local climbing area and show you that real rock climbing is far more about balance, control, and confidence. You’ll return from a day at the crag feeling far more confident in your climbing, yourself, and maybe…just maybe….you’ll start to feel the addiction to climbing that we do! |
CANOEING April 9th Limit: 8 people Cost: $15 | The weather is getting warmer, and the streams are starting to wake up. Join CRUX as we watch spring time awaken from inside a canoe, paddling one of our local waterways. If you don’t come back feeling renewed and refreshed with a little spring fever, maybe you are still hibernating! This trip is designed for all skill levels, so let CRUX leaders show you how to go with the flow! |

This CRUX caving trip is sure to be a great ride as we get into the stress of the academic semester. Take a load off underground, exploring different nooks and crannies as you head into the underground unknown! |

You'll have a blast with CRUX as you head below ground and explore hidden rooms and cool rock formations! Stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws and all, you'll be awed at everything the underground world has to offer. |
WHITEWATER RAFTING April 16th Limit: 10 people Cost: $45 | Our first rafting trip of the season, sure to fill up fast! The thunderous roar of the upcoming whitewater drowns out every other sound as you take in the exploding waves ahead. The eerie and collective silence among the rafters in your boat is finally and abruptly broken by a lone command barked by the guide… PADDLE!!! Test your mettle on this CRUX favorite as spring rain always makes for big rapids, exciting times, and stories you’ll be talking about for weeks after this adventure. |
YOGA AND CLIMBING April 17th Limit: 8 people Cost: $15 | Your fingers latch onto the limestone and your toes twitch on a ledge as the beads of perspiration from your forehead begin to drip off your grit determined face one by one! Sound like fun to you!?! Then this CRUX rock climbing get away is for you. Hang out on the rocks (literally) this Sunday and enjoy the outrageous views the local crags offer. Between the people, the wilderness, and the climbing/rappelling, this trip promises to rock so don’t miss it!!! |

CAMPING AND CANOEING April 30th-May 1st Limit: 8 people Cost: $20 | Like the idea of backpacking or camping out, but don’t want to carry all the stuff on your back? Then canoe camping is for you!!! CRUX leaders will provide you with the instruction necessary to skillfully maneuver your boat full of gear down river to your remote campsite where you will then unwind - enjoying some tasty outdoor cuisine, sitting around a roaring campfire, and reliving the highlights from the day. |
CLIMBING May 1st Limit: 8 people Cost: $15 | No experience necessary for this adrenaline filled day spent on the rocks. CRUX leaders will give you a thorough introduction into the world of rock climbing. Whether you have done it before or are new to climbing, there will be a challenge for everyone. |
