Climbing Workshop

By the end of this workshop you will be able to set up a top-rope climbing system.  This is unlike our usual trips where the CRUX staff does everything for you!  This trip will be more technique-oriented, geared towards teaching the skills for setting up a climb site.  If you are interested in learning how to build anchors, belay, and tie all kinds of different knots then this is the workshop for you!

Day 1: Classroom session.  We will meet in the Underground to go over all the climbing gear and learn all the necessary knots.

Day 2: We'll head out to a local climb site to practice skills learned the previous day and learn the steps behind building a top-rope climbing system.  You will work on learning what can be used as an anchor, and start setting up mock anchor systems.

Day 3: Today you will integrate all your knowledge learned over the previous two days to set up a complete anchor system.  You will also learn proper belaying technique and climb on your own complete climb site!
