Outdoor Adventures

Anyone visiting the Mount is struck by the stunning natural beauty of our 1400 acre campus at the foot of the Catoctin Mountains. Right in our very backyard we have magnificent Appalachian forests, meandering trails, rugged cliffs, gorgeous rivers and sparkling caves – and these wild and wonderful places serve as the playground (and classroom) for our top-notch Outdoor Adventures program!

Outdoor Adventures exists to help all members of the Mount community experience the joys of adventure in our own region and beyond. We offer trips and expeditions ranging from one day to two weeks in length, and all of our trips are designed with the beginner in mind. Ourleadership and development program trains Mount students to be outdoor instructors of the highest caliber and empowers them with real opportunities for personal growth through leadership of our trips and expeditions. Outdoor Adventures is proud to serve the entire spectrum of campus organizations through innovative and engagingteam building and organizational development programming. And ourspecial events are annual favorites on campus and in the community.
