Pre-Orientation Trips

MOUNTWARD BOUND
Jump start your Mount career with Mountward Bound; specially designed trips just for the Class of 2015! For each Mountward Bound experience, first-year students will arrive on campus on the specified day and be greeted by upperclass students who will serve as Mountward Bound team leaders. After getting settled into your residence hall room, you’ll begin with welcome activities and dinner. After an overnight on campus, you’ll be transported to the Mountward Bound sites.

Retreat:

Start off your adventure at the Mount with some time to reflect, discuss and pray about where you’ve been and where you’re headed.

Exploration:

A multi-day wilderness excursion for new students. Participants will camp, rock climb, hike, canoe, and experience a challenging course during the trip. We will take advantage of the abundant local trails, waterways and wilderness surrounding the Mount.

Discover the endless opportunities to work for peaceful and just communities.  Spend 5 days working with Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Nursing Homes, and Food Assistance programs in Frederick.
