Throughout the academic year, we will share scholarships and educational opportunities with students as they become available.

Mount Saint Mary's University Scholarship(s)

The William Randolph Hearst Scholarship

Thanks to the efforts of the Center for Intercultural Development and the Development Office, the Mount, received a $100,000 grant to establish the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship Fund for US minority undergraduate students. Scholarships are awarded to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are U.S. citizens or legal residents with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher. Preference in the selection of scholarship recipients are based on students who have met the specific criteria for the scholarship, and have demonstrated academic promise but who, for reasons beyond their control, may not have been able to give full attention to their academic course work.

Applications are reviewed in the spring semester by a committee made up of faculty and staff, and is chaired by the Director of Intercultural Development. The scholarship funds are distributed through the Financial Aid Office.
