Mount Family Association
Mount St. Mary’s University Office of Parent & Family Engagement
From move in through graduation, parents play a vital role in providing support that enriches the Mount experience of all students. We invite you to:
- Make Connections – meet other parents and Mount Alumni when the Mount comes to your area – everyone is welcome!
- Visit Campus – Family Fest, Winter Homecoming, the Junior Ring Mass, Visual and Performing Arts Events; there is always something happing on campus that will interest you!
- Become a Mount Volunteer – volunteer opportunities are available through the Mount Family Association, Mount Parent’s Fund, Career Center and Admissions. Contact the Office of Parent & Family Engagement for more information.
- Support the Mount’s Parent Fund – Each year, the Annual Fund supports many important financial initiatives, such as attracting and maintaining topnotch faculty, creating new and innovative curricula and programs and offering scholarships to deserving students. Your yearly gift will make a real difference for our students.

Summer Send-Offs, sponsored by the Office of Parent & Family Engagement and the Office of Alumni Engagement, are informal gatherings for newly enrolled first-year and transfer students and their family members from various regional areas. These events offer an opportunity for new students and their families to meet current Mount students, alumni, University representatives and other family members in a casual and relaxed setting.
Incoming families are encouraged to attend an event in their area.
The schedule for the 2017 Summer Send-Offs will be published this spring.
