Opportunities to get away for periods of quiet reflection, prayer and discussion are important for growth in one’s relationship with the Lord, especially during the hectic pace of the school year. Many overnight, weekend and on–campus retreat experiences are planned throughout the year, some of which are planned for specific groups or classes. Contact Stephanie Roberts for more information or to register for a particular retreat.
KAIROS Retreats Mountward Bound Retreat Schedule Kairos Retreats
Kairos is a retreat program that provides an opportunity for exploration of one’s self–identity, faith and relationship with God. It provides the context for reflection about the direction of one’s life based on reflection on what one values. The Kairos experience is an experience of Christian community, which grows out of series of talks given by peers. Follow–up meetings provide an ongoing community of support. Although Kairos is open to students of any, or no, religious denomination, Christian imagery, prayer and the celebration of the Sacraments are central to the success and operation of the Kairos experience. Mountward Bound This retreat for incoming first–year students is planned as part of Freshman Orientation Weekend. Mountward Bound provides: • an opportunity to discuss what it is like to be a Mount student with current students, faculty and staff; • a great way to relieve fears and anxieties about your new adventure at the Mount through prayer and reflection; • a chance to start off on the right foot by learning about opportunities for involvement and activities at the university.
