
Scripture Study Several groups meet regularly (both on– and off campus) for study, reflection, and discussion of the Scriptures in informal settings. Praise and Worship Prayer Group Student–led groups gather regularly on campus for informal times of reflection and prayer. The Praise and Worship Prayer Group meets on Monday evenings in the Pangborn Chapel for Spirit–led prayer and reflection with contemporary “Praise & Worship” music. Eucharistic Adoration Rosary Group (Legion of Mary) This group fosters devotion to Mary, the Blessed Mother of Jesus, while engaging in outreach and apostolic works, including visits through the residence halls. Why Catholic? Apologetics Group Knights of Columbus The Knights is an organization of Catholic men who promote charitable activities and the sanctity of human life. The university’s K. of C. Council meets on campus for fellowship and planning of events. Men’s and Women’s Discernment Groups Groups of men and women meet to help those considering a call and vocation to church ministry. Other special activities and events sponsored through the Callings program provide support for those discerning a religious vocation. Mount Students for Life This group sponsors spiritual and educational activities to promote a greater respect for the gift of human life from conception to natural death. They organize the university’s participation in the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., and have participated in activities of the Mount’s chapter of the Campaign to End the Death Penalty. |
