Campus Wide Posting Policies

  • All flyers must have the “Approved Student Affairs” stamp. All publicity must be brought to the Division of Student Affairs to receive the stamp. Please bring the original copy to get stamped prior to making copies.
  • Flyers cannot be posted on any entrance doors to any building at any time.
  • Flyers are not to be posted on any external surfaces including but not limited to light posts, walls, trees, etc.
  • In McGowan Center/Patriot Hall flyers can ONLY be posted on bulletin boards. They cannot be taped to any wood or painted surfaces or the windows.
  • All flyers must be removed within 3 days of the event ending by the organization sponsoring the event.
  • In order to post in the residence halls, please bring 45 copies of the flyer to the Office of Residence Life at least 2 weeks prior to the event so the Resident Assistants can put them on their floors. This is the only way to have flyers placed in the Residence Halls.
  • For clarification on all policies concerning posting in the residence halls please review the Community Standards document by clicking here.
  • In Academic building, please make sure to use masking tape to hang everything and remove them within 3 days of the events. Do not post on entrance, classroom or office doors.
  • Any flyers found to be posted in a manner conflicting with the above stated guidelines will be removed and that club, organization, or office will be subject to a $20 fine.
  • Flyers created by faculty offices for academically related events and posted within academic buildings are not required to have the “Approved Student Affairs” stamp. Any flyers going into Residence Halls or the McGowan center are required to be stamped.
  • All questions should be directed to the Assistant Dean & Director of Campus Activities at campusactivities@msmary.edu
