Camp Phoenix Summer Gashuku
Pictured is Sempai Nick Toma, visiting Hombu for training on a snowy day in December 2009. An exceptionally talented and gifted karateka, especially in jissen, Sempai holds the Nidan, hails from Romania, and has special expertise in executive security management. In the background is the Mount St. Mary's University Seminary, one of the oldest and largest in the USA. It is the long term home to the Phoenix Karate-do Association's summer camp (27th year, 2010).
