| Freshmen Ambassadors Become a Freshmen Ambassador! Freshmen Ambassadors play a vital part of the Admissions Office in the recruitment of new students. Freshmen Ambassadors should be energetic students who are excited and want to share their Mount experience with others. The two main programs which Freshmen Ambassadors are asked to help with are the Day in the Life Program and the Discovery Days, both are defined below. For more information or to express your interest please email Eddie Wright, Assistant Director for Admissions at wright@msmary.edu and come visit us during the fall semester! We will be happy to have you join us! PROGRAM OVERVIEW Day in the Life Program or D.I.T.L (OVERNIGHT) Seniors are invited to find out first‑hand what it is like to be part of the Mount Community. Students will have the opportunity to spend the night with a current student and to attend classes the following day. The program begins on Sunday evenings and will conclude early Monday afternoon. On Monday, parents are encouraged to attend workshops on financial aid, student development and career opportunities. The seminar will begin around 10:00 a.m. Lunch with Admissions Counselors will follow the seminar. Discovery Day The Day Visit offers students the opportunity to attend classes and lunch with a Mount student host. Student-hosts will guide visiting students through the day, introducing them to friends and faculty while showing the Mount campus. During this time, parents may attend presentations on the distinctive Freshman Seminar program, as well as learn about financial aid and career service opportunities. The day‑long program not only gives an overview of what Mount St. Mary's offers, but also gives prospective students a glimpse into the sometimes indistinct world of day‑to‑day college campus life. |
