Homecoming

This month, the Mount Student Government Association hosted Homecoming, complete with the basketball games, dance, spirit week and pep rally.  The Mount doesn’t have a football team, and we’ve always had a homecoming basketball game, but it was never really hyped up enough.  This year, we tried to make homecoming a huge event for students and alumni, which is a tradition that will hopefully continue.  The Mount Men won their game 71-56, and the Mount Women won their game 64-60, so everyone was really pumped!  They both played St. Francis PA.  For spirit week, the junior class hosted our spirit day, “Gender Bender” (boys dressed as girls and girls as boys) and our event, which was an Interactive Battle of the Sexes.  It was a great time.  The SGA Executive Officers really deserve praise for all of the time and effort they put into making sure the week went smoothly.  I am excited for next year’s homecoming to be even better.  Adios!
