Merry Christmas! Things are getting crazy here at the Mount as I’m preparing for finals. Exam week is coming up soon and then its time to head home for the holidays. Of course, you have to get in a little fun before that! My roommate and I decorated the apartment for Christmas, including a six-foot artificial Christmas tree that used to be my grandparent's. My friends and I did Secret Santa, so we had our own Christmas party to celebrate and exchange gifts. December 3rd was the Christmas Dance in Patriot Hall, which was great as usual. I’ve also been spending the month preparing for the Kairos Retreat – which will be held at the end of January. Kairos is a nationwide Catholic retreat for high school and college students. I attended the retreat last year at the Mount, and this year I was asked to be a leader on it. I am so excited! We have been preparing our talks and getting everything ready for the weekend. The retreat participants have no idea what to expect going into the weekend, because everything is a surprise. However, it is an amazing experience and has quickly become the most popular retreat on campus. I’ll let you know how it goes! See you in 2006! |
