Vice President of Enrollment Management
Michael A. Post
The Vice President of Enrollment Management serves as the chief undergraduate enrollment planner at the university. In collaboration with administrators and the campus academic community, the Vice President sets enrollment targets and implements growth and retention strategies for Mount St. Mary’s University to foster optimal enrollment of qualified students. He is responsible for providing executive leadership and organization to the division of enrollment management, and oversees instrumental campus departments including the offices of Admissions and Financial Aid.
Michael A. Post “retuned home” to the Mount in 2005 as the Director for Residence Life. He has progressively moved up within the University holding the positions of Dean of Students and Dean of Admissions.
Post is a third generation Mount alum. His father Robert graduated from the Mount in 1958 while his grandfather, Edward graduated in 1929.
He earned his master of science degree in counseling with a specialization in college student personnel from Shippensburg University, and his bachelor of science degree in psychology and from Mount St. Mary’s University.
Prior to joining the Mount, Post served as Associate Director for Residence Life as well as the Assistant Director for Residential Facilities at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Prior to that, he began his higher education career as a Hall Director at Shippensburg University.
Post is an active participant in organizations such as The College Board, the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA).
