Director of University Communications
As Director of University Communications, Duffy Ross oversees all communications and marketing initiatives for the traditional University, the Seminary, and the National Shrine Grotto of our Lady of Lourdes.
The Mount's Office of University Communications includes a team of eight personnel and is chiefly responsible for the Mount's internal and external communications - including advertising and publication development, website and interactive media, and media relations.
Duffy served in this position from 2002-06, before leaving for Saint Joseph's University, in Philadelphia, PA, when he was appointed executive director of development communications - providing strategic direction for the university's largest comprehensive campaign. Before coming back to the Mount in 2011, Duffy was the assistant vice president for advancement communications at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA - helping Lehigh successfully close its $500 million "Shine Forever" capital campaign.
Duffy has more than 25 years of communications experience in leading public and private educational institutions, and is an award-winning writer, editor, and communications strategist - recognized by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the International Association of Business Communicators. He earned his BA in journalism from Central Michigan University. He and his wife, Lynne, have a son: James. They reside in Boiling Springs, PA.
