Mount St. Mary’s University has identified key strategic priorities that will be the measure of its success in the next five years. These university priorities are drawn from four existing sources: our Vision Statement of 2004 (A Vision for Continuing a Mission of Distinction); our self-study for Middle States re-accreditation in 2005 (A Community Growing Together) and its identified “areas for growth”; the formal recommendations contained in the Middle States report resulting from that successful re-accreditation; and the formal recommendations from the Association of Theological Schools’ 10-year re-accreditation of the seminary.
We are a community that continues the 200-year traditions of learning and formation that Fr. Dubois established, and we do this to the highest quality. Our plan represents our commitment to scholarship and higher learning and shows that we welcome through our doors all who share this yearning and common ground. Our community is an inclusive and diverse one that shares the common principles of our mission. Our hope is anchored in the knowledge and belief that what we do is of God and for God.
