EWTN Show Catholicism on Campus Films at the Mount

Msgr. Stuart W. Swetland, S.T.D., vice president for Catholic identity and mission for Mount St. Mary's University, also hosts the EWTN program Catholicism on Campus. The popular show discusses questions of faith with college students. “In today’s world there is, in fact, no real center of gravity in our towns and cities and so ministering to modern college students is a daunting task,” explains Msgr. Swetland. “We try to reach young adults where they are and not where we might wish them to be. This is only possible if we radiate Jesus Christ in everything.”

EWTN was on the Mount campus for a week in April filming for the show. President Thomas H. Powell, Dr. Leona Sevick and a number of students were involved in the Q&A discussion formats. The episodes filmed on campus will air on EWTN later this year.
