The Mount Pitches In... During winter break, 22 members of the Mount community spent their time-off traveling to Biloxi, Mississippi, volunteering time, skills and sweat equity to help a handicapped man and his son build a home. It took only four days for the Mount workers and other volunteers to get the structure going and closer to being livable. “The students were absolutely wonderful and did a great job with this build,” said Melissa Main, the Mount’s director of community service. “They were very energetic and eager to help out and get this house built.” It seems the Mount community’s time was well spent and greatly appreciated. The Mounts students who took part include, Blair Aiken, Amanda Boddicker, Dani E’pagnier, Becky E’pagnier, Jessica Diehl, Courtney Donofry, Erin Fox, Brittnee Griffith, Caroline Hart, Mary Kate Lavin, Lauren Mackey, Crissy McKenzie, Jimmy Morgan, Phoebe O’Dell, Jackie Quillen, Tess Stumme, Kevin Taylor and John Wysong. Mount community members Wade Milyard, Luke Milyard and Debbie Wivell also volunteered.
