Mount St. Mary’s Seminary Enjoys Strong Enrollment
Monsignor Steven P. Rohlfs, STD, rector, has announced that 161 seminarians from 33 dioceses are presently studying for the priesthood at the Mount, including 50 new men. The seminary is one of the largest Roman Catholic seminaries in the nation. The seminary also welcomes several new faculty members: Father Leo Patalinghug, director of the Pastoral Field Education Program; Father Marcelo Parma, associate director of Spiritual Formation; Caroline Purcell, English as a Second Language Program; Dr. Paige Hochschild, philosophy; and Alejandro Aguilera-Titus, pastoral theology. On Sept. 25 the seminary will welcome the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors (NCDVD). More than 200 vocation directors from across the country will travel to the Mount for a “Day of Recollection.” |
