Mount Awards 2006-07 Bishops’ Scholarships

Seven members of the class of 2010 have received this merit-based scholarship, which gives Catholic Bishops in specific dioceses the opportunity to recognize the academic and community service achievements of high school students accepted to the Mount.

In order to qualify for the scholarship, recipients of the Bishop’s Scholarship must be accepted applicants to the university, have a 3.0 GPA and an 1100 SAT (CR and Math combined), and write a 500-word essay.

The following are the 2006-07 recipients of the Bishops’ Scholarship Program:

Archdiocese of Baltimore, Md.: Antonette Amato, a member of St. Joseph, Fullerton Parish and graduate of Notre Dame Prep

Diocese of Camden, NJ: P. Daniel Kelly, a member of St. Margaret’s Parish and graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School

Diocese of Harrisburg, Pa.: Paul Surry, a member of Good Shepherd Parish and graduate of Trinity High School

Diocese of Rockville Center, NY: Amanda Kronenberger, a member of St. Anthony’s Parish and a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy

Diocese of Scranton, Pa.: Alycia Schell, a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish and a graduate of Scranton Prep

Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.: Maureen Belden, a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and a graduate of Bishop McNamara High School.

Diocese of Wilmington, Del.: Dana Young, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and graduate of Seaford High School
