
For the 11th consecutive year, Mount St. Mary’s University has been recognized as one of the nation’s best universities by U.S. News & World Report magazine. The Mount is ranked #25 in the Best Master’s Universities – Northern Region category, in U.S. News & World Report‘s 2007 magazine and guidebook America’s Best Colleges. There are 165 colleges/universities in the Masters-North category, ranked among four tiers. The Mount has been ranked “Best” in the top tier since 1995. Last year the Mount ranked #29. Ranking criteria used by U.S. News & World Report include academic reputation among peer institutions; student/faculty ratio; student selectivity; student retention rates; faculty resources; graduation rate and alumni giving. In addition to this ranking, the Mount appeared on one of U.S. News’' “Honor Rolls,” part of a list of colleges and universities in the Northern region who graduated students with the "Least Debt."
