Prayers and Counseling - A message from Msgr. Stuart W. Swetland, S.T.D. At this time of grief and sadness at the untimely passing of Professor Emilio Rodriguez, we extend our prayers and deepest sympathies to the Rodriguez family and to all who knew and loved the Professor. It is during times such as these that we, as a community of God’s children, reach out to one another for support and consolation. Our RA’s are already doing so for those who live in student housing. Many of us are already doing so as colleagues and friends. Some in our community might feel the need to talk with those specially trained to help. Fortunately, at Mount St. Mary’s, we have several people who are available. These include: | Linda Donovan | University Counselor Wellness Center | x4536 | | Michael Post | Dean of Students Student Affairs Office | x5848 | Msgr. Stuart Swetland
| Interim Chaplain Campus Ministry | x5796/x3453 |
Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. Friday, November 2 (tomorrow), is the Commemoration of All Souls. There will be two Masses on Campus: Noon in IC Chapel and 4pm at the Grotto Chapel. The community is welcome at either of these masses. They will be offered for the repose of the soul of Dr. Rodriguez. Sr. Joan Gormley and all the faithful departed, especially those associated with Mount St. Mary’s. There will be a memorial service for Emilio at a later date. Details will be shared with the community as they become known. May God bless you all, Msgr. Stuart W. Swetland, S.T.D. November 1, 2007
