Yellow Ribbon Program: 

Mount St. Mary's participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program.  In this program, the University will match the government's contribution to the cost of education, allowing eligible veterans to attend the Mount tuition free.  To be eligible, a veteran must be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill at the 100% rate.  The Yellow Ribbon Scholarship will replace any previously awarded scholarships/grants from Mount St. Mary's.

To avoid delays in processing claims, it is extremely important to submit all information along with any changes in status. When filing a claim, always remember to include the supporting documents listed below.

New Students

• If applying for the first time, fill out our VA form 22-1990 (Application for Educational Benefits)
• If applying under Chapter 30 (Montgomery GA Bill), attach your DD214 (the Release from Active Duty form)
• If applying under Chapter 106 (Montgomery GA Bill-Reserves), use DD2384-1  (Notice of Basic Eligibility form) and a copy of your military I.D. card
• If you are a transfer student  applying under Chapter 30, 32, 34, 35 or 1606, you will need to fill out VA form 22-1995  (Request for Change of Program, Place or Training)

Previously Certified VA Students

Every semester VA students must be certified in order to continue to receive monthly benefits. Please fill out the Request for VA Benefits form and submit to above address.
