Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS)

Mount St. Mary's University is required by federal law to maintain records for all international students enrolled at the university through the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). The registrar’s office processes and maintains this information for the university.  Below is a list of documents necessary to obtain an I-20 visa through Mount St. Mary's University.

PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS MUST BE ADMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR A STUDENT VISA.

Documents Required for Obtaining a Student Visa

• International Student Transfer Clearance Form
• Certified bank statement or affidavit of support documenting that adequate funds are available, for each year of enrollment, to pay the full educational and living expenses in the United States
• Completed nonimmigrant visa application form (DS-156)   
• Passport valid for at least six months after your date of entry into the U.S.
