Disability Support
Learning Services of Mount St. Mary’s University strives to facilitate the academic success of students with documented disabilities by offering support services and reasonable accommodations. Due to the nature and variety of disabilities served, Learning Services feels the need to use an individualized approach with each student in order to provide as much academic support and accommodations that are both reasonable and possible for the students. Mount St. Mary's University makes programs and activities on campus available to every enrolled student and is committed to offering a campus environment that is free of discrimination and bias. The college admits qualified students and believes that no one should be barred from an education because of disability. Program accessibility is assured by means of reasonable accommodations. In order to provide reasonable accommodations, as stated in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, in the variety of learning activities offered at the Mount, services are provided to students with documented disabilities through Learning Services. |
