Outside Scholarship Opportunities

The financial aid office has received information on the following outside scholarships. Below are requirements, if any, for each scholarship as well as details on how to apply. The following scholarships are for the 2008-09 academic year. Please note that most deadlines have past, but continue to check back for additional scholarship information.

John Gyles Education Awards are available each year to students in both Canada and the United States. A minimum 2.7 GPA is required; criteria other than strictly academic and financial need are considered. Students will receive up to $3,000. Applications are available at www.johngyleseducationcenter.com. Deadline: June 1, 2008.

Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants awards a $1,000 annual scholarship to the winner of an essay contest. Students will be asked to write an essay on one of two topics that appear on the scholarship page of their web-site at http://www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm. Deadline for submission is June 20, 2008.
