The concentration leads to advanced certification as a reading specialist, K-12, from the Maryland State Department of Education. The practicum requires 90 hours of on-site experiences that can only be completed during the day. Students may elect to take 3 credits of the practicum during the summer and 3 credits during the fall or students may elect to take all 6 credits during the fall semester. |
