Statement of Purpose

The purpose of the Office of Institutional Research at Mount St. Mary's University is to enhance institutional effectiveness by supporting and strengthening management operations, decision making, accountability, assessment and the planning process.  In carrying this out, the office performs studies, provides information, and supports activities that describe, analyze, and interpret the policies, functions, and activities of the University for the executive officers, faculty, administration and other members of the University community as well as federal, state and other external agencies.
