INDEPENDENT STUDY

Another option for the required experiential component of the environmental science major involves completing an in-depth study of a specific topic in the field of environmental science. Topics should be selected in consultation with the enviromental science faculty (Dr. Jeffrey Simmons or Dr. Rosie Bolen). Recently, we had a student complete an independent study on the topic of global warming, which culminated in a position paper on the subject and a survey on global warming completed by the campus community (click here for the survey results).
