Felicia Langel, Ph.D.- langel@msmary.edu

B.S. George Washington University; V.M.D.  Univ. of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine; Ph.D. Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences

Research Interests:  Inhalational anthrax is a multi-factorial disease that may be heavily influenced by the activity of alveolar macrophages.  My work hypothesizes that B. anthracis survival and replication in the lungs depends upon the functional impairment of alveolar macrophages and the disabling of the innate immune response.
