Welcome!

Here you can gain the information you need about our department’s programs, including the major, the minor and a custom-designed, interdisciplinary biopsychology major. To learn more, just click on the links to the left.

Department faculty are eager to help with academic and career advising, including plans for graduate study, medical school or law school. Please contact a faculty member or the department office if you have questions.

The courses chosen for the major should reflect your career goals after consultation with an advisor within the department. Additional courses in mathematics and/or natural sciences may be recommended for acceptance into select graduate schools. All psychology majors choose, conduct and present a data-based senior research project.

Many of the department’s elective courses are cross-listed with other exciting programs, allowing students to add further minors in Environmental Studies and Gender Studies.

Declaration of Major forms are available through the registrar’s office.
