Legal Studies Faculty

  • Marcia J. McKinley, J.D., Ph.D.  (of the psychology department) received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center. She is a member of the Florida Bar and practiced for three years as the staff attorney at the National Clearinghouse for Child Abuse and Neglect Information. Later, she received a Ph.D. in psychology from George Mason University. She integrates her interests in law and psychology through her research in children’s eyewitness testimony. In addition to being a pre-law advisor, Dr. McKinley is the co-moderator for the Pre-Law Society and coach of the Mock Trial Team.   • Richard Buck, Ph.D. (of the philosophy department) received his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Kansas. His research and teaching interests are in political philosophy, ethics and philosophy of law. In addition to being a pre-law advisor, Dr. Buck assists with the Mock Trial Team and is the co-moderator of the Pre-Law Society and the Philosophy Club.
