STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS Mount St. Mary's University is formally affiliated with Central University and has sent students abroad to Germany and Austria. Mount St. Mary's is also affiliated with the CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange). Interested students can study in Müchen, Berlin, Heidelberg, Vienna, and other German-speaking cities. Other programs with which Mount St. Mary's is not affiliated at universities, University's, and institutes in Germany and Austria are available, e.g., the Goethe Institut, DAAD (Deutsche Akademische Austauschdients) and the Rutgers Program. The Foreign Languages & Literatures Department and Mount St. Mary's University maintain affiliations with the American Institute of Foreign Study and the Center for Cross-Cultural Study in order to provide students of German with the opportunity to independently study abroad for a semester in a program that Mount St. Mary's University officially recognizes. Students will study for a semester abroad in: SALZBURG, AUSTRIA
The department also presents students with the opportunity to enrich their cultural exposure to German-speaking communities during 8-10 day educational tours during Spring break of odd-numbered years in: VIENNA, AUSTRIA
